Color Quality and Consistency on EVERY Job from Start to Finish!
Parkland Direct prides itself on quality and consistency with every printed job to ensure total customer satisfaction. Our quality tracking system, pressSIGN, utilizes state-of-the-art software that allows us to deliver exactly what customers want and expect. When producing projects with quantities into the tens of millions, the human element must be removed from the color control process to ensure the first envelope looks just like the last. This advanced software provides a unique dynamic density adjustment to fully correspond with any Pantone or process color, allowing us to easily achieve national printing standards. With this in place, Parkland can achieve consistent, accurate color and print quality across the board.
INVESTING IN THE RIGHT TOOLS
There are several benefits to our innovative tracking system, namely the remarkable improvement in color match, consistency, and productivity. Our interface stores all scans in a database and provides a percentage score during quality evaluations. Individual activity reports can be generated and shared with our clients if requested. These reports show the time and date of measurement with a score and value for each scan, comments made during the scan, and an overall score for the entire project. Everyone sees color differently, and several factors, such as mood or fatigue, can affect how an individual sees color. Without the right tools, major color inconsistencies can occur, especially when projects run across multiple shifts. With that in mind, Parkland Direct invests in exceptional color tracking tools that target and measure L*a*b* values to prevent any possibility of human error. This feature is vital to customer satisfaction and reduced waste since it removes all guesswork and allows press operators to know precisely what is needed to achieve a desired color, eliminating unnecessary stress or cost due to time lost.
Delta E Values
L*a*b values calculate the delta E tolerance which is also factored at Parkland to determine what is acceptable. A delta E value is a single number used to establish the distance between two colors or how far apart they are from one another. This numerical value, or tolerance level, is assigned to a printed color in order to stay within a specified range. Parkland’s high-tech software will detect color variance long before the human eye and score it using a delta E value informing the press operator exactly what adjustments, if any, need to be made. By removing the possibility of human error, we succeed in providing color quality and consistency on every job from start to finish.
COMPLETE CUSTOMER ASSURANCE
We understand color quality and consistency are vital to our clients. Because every job is scanned into Parkland’s advanced operating network, color does not vary out of a strict tolerance in any direction. This system makes it easy to pull scans for repeat projects to verify precise consistency and confirm matching to exclusive branding for organizations. Since Parkland has attained G7 Master status, the global standard in the industry used to measure color accuracy, our facility is capable of delivering a shared appearance across multiple printing devices and platforms. This allows us to give our customers assurance that each job we produce will have complete color uniformity and the high-quality they require.
